Bretning

Bretnig is a district of Großröhrsdorf and is a good 20 km from the state capital of Dresden. The town on the Große Röder was once a stronghold of ribbon weaving. This industry, which is over 300 years old, has shaped Großröhrsdorf and made it famous far beyond the borders of Germany. Its proximity to the Dresden metropolitan area is interesting for the economy, while its scenic location is attractive for residents and visitors. The town hall and numerous Art Nouveau mansions are architecturally significant.

Logroño

With around 150,000 inhabitants, Logroño is the capital of the province of La Rioja in Spain. Economic life in the Comarca de Logroño is characterized, typical of the La Rioja region, by winegrowing businesses that produce wines with the Rioja designation of origin. Other important economic sectors are ceramics and sheet metal processing, services and vegetable growing. The Way of St. James has made the city one of the most important stages on the way to Santiago de Compostela. It is also the commercial and financial capital of Rioja.

Tuzla

Tuzla is a municipality in the province of Istanbul in the Turkish Marmara region and at the same time a district of the metropolitan province of Istanbul, which was founded in 1984. With over 200,000 inhabitants, Tuzla is located on the Asian side of the metropolis. Agriculture and fishing, which used to dominate, have lost their importance due to the industrialization of the town. Tuzla is best known for its shipyards and the Formula 1 race track, which opened in 2005.

Shanghai

Shanghai is the most important industrial city in the People's Republic of China and one of the largest cities in the world. In addition to the core city with around 15 million inhabitants, Shanghai also has numerous outlying districts up to 50 km away with a further 8 million inhabitants. While the inner city has a high building density and closed settlement form, the outskirts are dominated by a rural, rather provincial settlement structure. The port of Shanghai is the largest container port in the world, handling around 49 million TEU per year.

Anshan

Anshan is located near Shenyang. Around 1.5 million people live in the city center. Anshan was founded in 1387. Industrialization began in Anshan at the beginning of the 20th century. Today, Anshan is one of the largest industrial centers in China, with the steel industry being particularly strong here. The integrated iron and steel industry complex is the second largest in China and one of the largest in the world. Iron ore and coal, which are mined in the region, are processed here. Anshan also has a chemical industry and mechanical engineering complexes.

Chongqing

Chongqing is an autonomous administrative unit and, with a population of around 32 million, one of the largest cities in the world. Chongqing is located at the confluence of the Yangtze and Jialing Jiang rivers. At 82,403 square kilometers, the city's administrative area is roughly the size of Austria and consists mainly of areas with a rural settlement structure. The city is an industrial center, transport hub and cultural center of the region with universities, colleges, theaters, museums and galleries.

Cleveland

With a population of just under 380,000, Cleveland is a major city in the north-east of the US state of Ohio on the shores of Lake Erie. Among the sights reminiscent of its time as an industrial center at the turn of the 20th century is the steamship William G. Mather, which is now part of the Great Lakes Science Center. The city is also known for the impressive Cleveland Museum of Art, the Cleveland Orchestra and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum designed by I.M. Pei.

Aguascalientes

Aguascalientes is the capital of the central Mexican state of the same name, was founded by the Spanish in 1575 and has a population of 722,250. It owes its name to the numerous thermal springs. Today, the hot springs are mainly used for swimming pools with healing effects. Aguascaliente is famous for the Feria San Marcos, one of Mexico's largest popular festivals, which takes place every year in April.
